桃園市長鄭文燦於2月5日的防疫記者會中表示，與高雄市長陳其邁討論後決定，將公私立幼兒園的開學日展延到2月14日。
鄭文燦指出，因為這一波的Omicorn病毒很容易在幼兒間傳染開來，公立幼兒園開學日原訂為2月11日，私立幼兒園開學日是2月7日，在與高雄市長陳其邁討論過，決定公私立幼兒園都展延到2月14日開學。
